Winner of 3 Academy Awards including Best Motion Picture, Barry Jenkins poetic and emotional triptych takes us through a life where a young man struggles to answer the question “who is you?”.

As a young child Chiron is bullied both for his size and his family situation. Over three life periods Chiron is presented as he struggles to work out how and if he fits in the world around him.

Is his path pre-determined?

As part of our Black Lives Matter collection we should not only consider the story’s told, but also that this film is directed, written, and acted by black people who are still unrepresented in this, and many industries.
